Braising vegetables is a great way to enjoy them. So easy and quick.
This is what you're going to need:
1 lb of fresh asparagus, cleaned and trimmed
2 TBS chopped prosciutto or pancetta
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic powder
1/4 cup of broth or water
Sprinkle of red wine vinegar
Directions:
In large skillet, add 2 TBS olive oil. Add the prosciutto or pancetta. Let it tender until it gets crispy. Add the trimmed asparagus in one layer.
Add seasonings, then cover and set the heat in low. Let it steam until the asparagus become tender.
